Of the many things that surgeons hold sacred, they say that gloves rank right up there with suture, masks and the tunes playing on the OR's iPod. Change any of them at your own risk. Surgeons, however, are especially sensitive about their gloves. To hear OR managers tell it, surgeons are fanatical about the fit, feel and comfort of their gloves. You might say it's a "touchy" subject.
