Thanks in part to developing technology and improvements in implant devices, spine procedures are flowing out of the inpatient arena and into ambulatory surgery facilities. Over the next 10 years, outpatient spine cases are expected to increase by 11.4 percent. Preparing your facility to host these cases is one thing. Getting reimbursed for them is something else altogether.
