InstaPoll: Do You Charge Patients Who Cancel?

Nothing upsets the surgical schedule more than a last-minute cancellation by a patient. Tell us in this week's InstaPoll if you charge patients who cancel their surgeries without giving you proper notice.

The first thing many patients ask for in the recovery room is a hot cup of coffee. But there's a risk of still-groggy patients spilling coffee on themselves and suffering burns. Nearly half (44%) of the 398 respondents to last week's poll. The results:

Do you serve patients hot beverages in PACU?

  • yes 45%
  • yes, but only after it's been cooled 9%
  • no, only cold drinks 46%
