Ideas That Work: Assigned Parking

A Neat and Orderly Equipment Storage Room

categories and color-coding NO MESS, NO STRESS By organizing all of your equipment into like categories and color-coding the different sections, your nurses and techs will easily find what they're looking for.

Assigned Parking
A Neat and Orderly Equipment Storage Room

Our equipment storage room used to be a real mess, a pileup of machines double-parked every which way. Good luck finding what you need. Now it's neat and organized — everything in its place and a place for everything. The secret: We created assigned parking spaces for equipment with color-coded tape on the floor and for supplies with color-coded signs on the wall. Pulling cases is so much easier now that staff can go to just one place in the storage room to get everything they need rather than having to spend time poking around.
