OR Excellence 10th Anniversary Preview
LEARNING MADE FUN With fresh ideas, new material and no fluff, OR Excellence is simply a better way to learn.

Lisa York, RN, MSN, CASC, figures she's been to 15 or so surgical conferences since she was named executive director of the Hunterdon Center for Surgery in Flemington, N.J., in 2008. Last year she did OR Excellence for the first time, which was such a pleasant and refreshing surprise that Ms. York is signed up to ORX again this year in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

"Already registered," says Ms. York. "I will make this conference a priority going forward for me and my staff. It was a great value — the speakers presented topics that were relevant and timely. It was nice to get different perspectives and to hear from fresh voices."

Ms. York voiced a sentiment we hear from many ORXers. OR Excellence is a different kind of meeting: livelier, intimate, relaxed, fun and interactive.

"Everything was just really nice," she says. "You don't feel quite so overwhelmed so you have more opportunity to network with people."

Yes, professional education is critically important, but shouldn't it also be fresh, exciting, impactful and — dare we say it — fun? With fresh ideas, new material and no fluff, OR Excellence is simply a better way to learn.

In this special issue, we preview a handful of the terrific speakers and sessions on tap for ORX's 10th anniversary conference, Oct. 3-5 at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. And beginning on page 19, we highlight the many products that will be on display in the ORX Exhibit Hall.

We hope you'll come celebrate with us in the sunshine. For more information or to register for the educational investment that pays you back, visit or call'(888) YOUR-ORX. OSM
