"ER" Video Hammers Home the Importance of the Surgical Safety Checklist

The World Health Organization (WHO) has been using this video to help promote its Surgical Safety Checklist when members of the team speak at individual hospitals or conferences.

When this scene from "ER" (Season 15, Episode 19) was first released, "it brought quite a bit of light to the Checklist and helped give individuals who were interested in implementing the Checklist a realistic view some of the pushback that they might face," says a WHO spokesperson.
