Medical manufacturer and distributor Cardinal Health has partnered with software developer SourceMedical’s electronic data interface for order management and supply chain forecasting, the companies have announced.

SourcePlus PCX, designed exclusively for use by ASCs and surgical hospitals, is said to simplify ordering, expedite product delivery, improve inventory efficiency and reduce labor costs. It allows users to submit and confirm their requests to multiple vendors and to receive availability and pricing updates through a single system, which integrates with both SourceMedical’s information management software and the vendor’s ordering system.

Manufacturer and distributor Medline Industries teamed up with SourcePlus in December.
