Our Readers Rate Ads and Win Prizes

Grand prize winner of annual drawing gets Apple iPhone.

Published: December 30, 2008
Categories: News

Each year, we ask a group of Outpatient Surgery Magazine readers to evaluate the ads that appeared in our August issue and provide their feedback to our advertisers. These insights are a valuable service that helps our advertisers create ads that are not only attention-getting, but also informative and useful to you, our readers.

This year, 242 surgical leaders and decision-makers participated in our Council on Advertising Effectiveness, reviewed 23 full-page ads and provided their impressions and ratings on each. As a special thank you, we entered all the participants into a drawing for a grand prize of an Apple i-Phone and three runner-up prizes of $75 Amazon.com gift certificates.

This year's grand prize winner was Beth H. Davis, RN, nurse administrator at Musgrove Ear, Nose & Throat ASC (Silver Spring, Md.). Our runners up were: Rosemary Stewart, director of surgical services, St. Vincent's Hospital Birmingham (Birmingham, Ala.); Deb Leib, administrator, Susquehanna Valley Surgery Center (Harrisburg, Pa.); and John A. Broom, executive director, Oklahoma Lithotripter Associates (Oklahoma City, Okla.).

We would like to thank everyone who participated in this valuable project, which not only benefits our advertisers, but all of our readers. If you'd like the opportunity to participate in this or other special surveys and contests, please visit our Web site and create a user account. Congratulations again to our winners!
