As a materials manager, you have to know which products may or may not be good fits for your OR and, just as importantly, your facility's budget. That can be a delicate balance, but supply buying comes down to knowing your facility's case mix and what it requires as well as knowing your surgeons and their preferences, especially when it comes to something they work so closely with, such as gloves or suture.
