The optimal selection and purchase of products for patient handling, transfer and positioning require managers to consider the product's intended usage, promotion of safe patient handling and cost effectiveness. Reducing the risk of employee injury is an important issue, especially considering the demands that patient handling places on our aging nursing workforce.
