The Beauty of the Block Nurse

The growing popularity of regional anesthesia has spawned a new breed of nurse: the block nurse. Block nurses are vital to ensuring the efficiency and safety of regional anesthesia. They are liaisons between the anesthesia team and the patient, handling everything from pre-op assessment, preparing the block room and ordering supplies to patient follow up.
