Obesity No Laughing Matter
Re: "XXL Patients" (August, page 62). I was amazed that this type of mockery of obese patients would have even been considered for professional publication. I understand your intent was some comic relief. However, the content was unprofessional, inappropriate and offensive. It is obvious that our obese patient numbers are rising. We must adjust and adapt to these patients' needs. They shouldn't feel discriminated against. They should feel as every other patient does. It is their right to receive the best care possible, regardless of their physical impairments.
