In Reprocessing We Trust
Re: "Reprocessing Wars" (May, page 22). I would ask reprocessing's naysayers to show me the hard, independent evidence that reusing these items has resulted in patient safety issues and not the "Ethicon Endo-Surgery sponsored 2 separate studies on reprocessed SUDs" that the article mentioned. We are an evidence-based profession and what I perceive as an anecdotal response from such a large corporation will not convince me that reprocessing is a bad thing. It's all about raking in the money, plain and simple.
