I know a little something about maintaining a happy staff. As the administrator of a small surgery center (1 OR, 1 procedure room) where the schedule is compressed and a majority of the 21 employees are per diem, I know that if I don't keep my nurses, techs and surgeons satisfied with their work environment, our front door could easily become a revolving door. Whether your facility is small or large, hospital or ASC, mostly full-time or mostly part-time, here are 6 ways to show your staff you care.
