3 Strategies to Prevent Nausea and Vomiting

We host lots of orthopedic cases using regional anesthesia, so we assumed that our PONV rate was lower than facilities that host procedures with a higher risk for post-operative nausea and vomiting. Boy, were we wrong. When we did some digging, we found that PONV occurred in about 15% of our cases. Here are 3 strategies we used to lower our PONV rate.
