Can ASCs Profit From Hospital Partnerships?

More and more ambulatory surgery centers that want to swim in the deep end of the reimbursement pool are partnering with hospitals and health systems. Once bobbing on the same sea as their bigger cousins, ASCs can capitalize on the higher Medicare facility fees and the greater leverage in negotiating commercial contracts that hospital outpatient departments enjoy.
