Talk Your Way to a Culture of Safety

A surveyor representing a national certifying body paid our staff a huge compliment when he scheduled his own surgery at our facility months after he reviewed us for accreditation. He believed that our constant sharing of ideas and clinical information led to safer surgery. That got me to thinking: Just how do we keep the lines of communication open from pre-op to PACU?
