Is Your Staff Handling Specimens Properly?

Specimens have a greater chance of being misplaced, mislabeled or never collected by surgical staff than they do of being lost in transit to the pathology lab. So grab a clipboard, head into your ORs and observe how your team members are handling specimens at the field. If the answer to one or more of the following questions is "no," you may need to refine your policies and re-train your team.
