Are You Ready for Electronic Discovery?

In the old days, discovery for a malpractice lawsuit meant filling a box with paper files from the patient records storage area. If your facility is sued in a malpractice case today, you may be required to supply digital information from office and home computers, cell phones and voicemail systems. As digital information becomes more common in court, so do questions regarding what you should and shouldn't save, delete or destroy. Your lawyer and malpractice insurance company should be able to help you answer the following questions.
