The Conversion to ICD-10

As you probably know, on Oct. 1, 2011, the greatly expanded and more detailed ICD-10 code sets will replace the ICD-9 code sets that you've been using to code cases since 1977. ICD-10 doesn't take effect for nearly three years, but you've got a lot of preparing to do between now and then to be sure you're coding your cases correctly.
