Here's how it works. You insert the scalpel blade flat into the slot in the container - sharp edge to the right - until you hear the click. Withdraw the handle, and the blade remains sealed inside for later disposal. You can mount the sharps container to a wall, trolley or bench via a universal bracket. Qlicksmart has a counter and shut-off mechanism when the container reaches its 100-blade capacity. The product is compatible with blades from all commonly used reusable handles, says Qlicksmart, an Australian-based company.
