Good surgical practice and post-op wound support can minimize surgical scarring. But no matter how careful we are, scars remain an inevitable enemy of cosmetic surgery. The good news is that we may some day be able to prevent scarring altogether by stopping it before it starts, thanks to advances in fetal wound healing research and biotechnology. Here's an update on where we stand - and where we may be headed.
