Is there anyone out there who doesn't have more than a few movie catchphrases permanently stuck in their head? I didn't think so. What's surprising is how many of those quotes fit like surgical implants into a day in the OR.
"My momma always said life was like a box of chocolates."
- Forrest Gump. (That includes the fruits and nuts they let work in surgery.)
"Houston, we have a problem."
- Apollo 13. (The equipment's failed again. It's not operator error, because I'm the operator. Someone call the rep.)
"E.T. phone home."
- E.T. (Doctor, your wife, girlfriend, kids or significant whatever called ? again.)
