Give anesthesia a head start each day

Diana Procuniar, RN, BA, CNOR Our pharmacy makes up anesthesia packs with all of the drugs we need for routine outpatient cases. The meds are all drawn up in syringes and labeled with the drug, dose and expiration date. That way, the anesthetist needs only to open the pack and start pushing drugs instead of drawing up each medication for each case. It's a great time- and money-saver.
