1st Annual Infection Control Survey

From fake findernails to reprocessing endoscopes, a panel of experts weighs in on how our readers handle six controversial infection control practices.

To get a handle on how those of you on the front lines are dealing with infection control issues, we devised our 1st Annual Infection Prevention Survey. More than 100 of you responded to our 32-question survey, which covered six areas of infection control: personnel attire, OR cleaning, supplies, reprocessing, patient prepping and hand hygiene. We showed the results to a panel of experts to determine where there's room for improvement in your infection prevention protocol and how you can easily implement reform. Here's what they said about six controversial issues.
