Although some surgical facilities truly minimize supply costs by working effectively with group purchasing organizations (GPOs), not all get the most out of their GPOs. In fact, even if you already belong to a GPO, you may be able to save from 3 to 5 percent more on supply costs simply by taking a few proactive steps.
