The right combination of drugs can really reduce opioid use.

A multimodal approach to controlling post-op pain that combines non-opioids and opioids works best because it targets the multiple sources and pathways of pain. Multimodal analgesia can also reduce opioid use, which can translate into less post-op nausea and vomiting, quicker recovery, greater patient satisfaction and faster discharge. Here are 6 tips for introducing multimodal pain control techniques at your facility.
