Gastric banding is a safe and a proven surgical option for permanent weight-loss. It causes minimal post-op pain and allows for quick recoveries. Still, we heard from skeptics who said gastric banding wouldn't work as an outpatient procedure, that patients need an overnight stay to fully recover from the surgery. We didn't listen, and today we run the nation's only ASC recognized as an Accredited Outpatient Bariatric Center by the American College of Surgeons.
