QI studies soon will become more a part of daily life in surgery centers. In 2009, Medicare will require information on QI studies performed in ASCs as part of its Pay for Performance initiative. Accreditation agencies and insurers are also becoming more interested in QI studies and initiatives. Read on if you're looking for a worthwhile quality improvement study to undertake.
