Paula Watkins, RN, CNOR A flyer describing common symptoms of compassion fatigue recently circulated at the hospital where I work. The first sentence read, "It is important to note that only compassionate people experience compassion fatigue," as if being an uncompassionate idiot would make you healthier. As for the warning signs, well, who among us is immune?
