Pathologists are not vendors

RMV->) Re: "What to Look for in a Pathologist" (April, page 49). I am a pathologist, a medical doctor practicing medicine from behind a microscope, and not a vendor. Pathologists impact the lives of more than 70 percent of patients requiring medical care in the United States, either through clinical laboratory or anatomic pathology testing. To refer to a pathologist as a vendor is both inaccurate and unfortunate.
