The Bright Side of HIPAA

In our May 2001 product showcase, we inadvertently published the wrong phone number for Xodus Medical, Inc., manufacturer of the Light Guard Surgical Light Handle Cover. The correct phone number is (800) 963-8776.

Clarification:
In our May 2001 article "What's New in Surgical Lights," we stated that the life-span of bulbs in surgical lights ranged from about 1,000 hours to 1,500 hours. While this is the most common bulb life-expectancy, some systems may vary, with ranges up to about 5,000 hours of individual bulb life. Two examples of longer-life systems are multi-bulb lighting systems from Skytron and Burton.
